Synthesis: Concluding Statements

I. Neolithic Cultural Jades
1. Human Evolution

The Neolithic jade sculptures recorded vividly the memories of our ancestors as to the origins
and evolution of humans from Dinosaur, Dinosaur Birds, Birdman, Modern Man, Neolithic Woman....
2. Formation and Development of Chinese Character Scripts:Works of Natural Intelligence

Neolithic cultural jades illustrated clearly the creative process of carving sculptures and pictures
in the images of the former human forms, accompanying animals. These picture forms were then
gradually transformed into simple strokes and early scripts. In the Central Plains region, elaborated
and matured scripts were identified on jade vases with the Cangjie "蒼頡" name carved on the base.
3. Neolithic Cultural Jades Art Forms: the origins of Chinese traditional art forms

Numerous art forms of Neolithic cultural jades have been collected which art forms seem to be the
earlier versions imitated by the bronze vessels and the jade sculptures of the Zhou and Han, Song,
   Ming and Qing.
4. The Current Status

Currently, studies on Neolithic jades have been based on samples of "burial jades" from the tombs
excavations from the Hongshan, Dawenkou, Liangchu, ChejiaPin, YanShou (仰韶文化) "archeological
culture" sites. Neolithic "cultural jades" were not normally part of the "burial jades" culture, and were
uncovered mainly from ruins of cultural sites, from hidden caves or from forgotten storages in the
bygone days. The Neolithic cultural jades have been more wide spread than the traditional text book
samples. Because they have not been referred to in the published books and not found in museums,
   they have not been recognized.
The major handicap to the collectors still lies on the lack of knowledge on the genuine Neolithic cultural
jades, and the confusions confronted by the varieties of imitated jade handicrafts manufactured by
factories.  We have accumulated our ability in detecting the genuine Neolithic cultural jades from many
years of first hand experience as well as knowing the workings of channels in different market segments.
